Bangladesh Labor Law, updated: inside HREN's two-day training
Two full days with Advocate Jafrul Hasan Sharif on recent amendments, and on what compliance now asks of HR teams.
By HREN Coordination Team

Labor law remains critical to effective people management and to good governance, and it keeps changing. So HREN ran its Training on Bangladesh Labor Law (Updates, Insights & Compliance) twice: a full day on 12 December 2025, and a second session on 9 January 2026.
Who led it
Both days were facilitated by Jafrul Hasan Sharif, Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and a specialist in labor and employment law.
What it covered
The sessions were built to give HR professionals and organizational leaders a clear, practical understanding of:
- The latest updates to Bangladesh's labor law.
- Recent amendments, and what they mean in practice.
- The compliance requirements HR teams are now accountable for.
The room
The first session ran from 9 am to 5 pm in Gulshan 1; the second, from 9 am to 6 pm at Lakeshore Heights, Gulshan 1. Seats were limited both times.
Compliant, informed and future-ready: the questions in the room showed how seriously the community takes all three.
The enthusiastic participation, thoughtful questions and rich discussion over both days said a lot about the HR community's commitment to getting this right. Photos are on the event page, and future sessions are announced on LinkedIn.
